We've found that the best way to keep both holding tanks in great shape and odor free is to every two to three months flush both tanks with a mixture of blue Dawn dishwashing solution (it has no anti-bacterial ingredients in it and therefore doesn't kill off the bacteria in the tanks. Then each time you dump either tank, put a capful or two of "Piranha" holding tank waste digester in each tank. This stuff even removes the soap scum & sour smell from grey water! It has a cinnamon scent and is all natural with no formandehyde. We get it from super-seal.com
