All well here ,No deaths from cyclone as we had plenty of warning. Was twice the size of Katrina. The eye was 100 miles across and was a catagory 5.We are over 1500 miles south of Cairns so we were not in the path at all. The size of this thing was enormous,big as the whole state Of West Virginia .The Cyclone has now moved inland and is down to a catagory 1.The biggest worry was the size of the eye as being so wide it took an hour to pass and people thought it was safe to come out but the second half was the strongest, winds over 300 kilometers per hour Thanks for your kind thought for our safety. Glad to hear you and Kaye are OK. Randy and I were worried about that enormous storm.

Getting the backlash of the cyclone now with lots of rain and flooding in Victoria.We got 4inches in 1 day and the drains just cannot cope.Nowhere near the damage they got in Queensland but a lot of roads are flooded. A lot of the problem is people who allow grass and weeds to grow in the drains and at the first shower they block.We are never at risk as our house is 100 feet above road level.The silly part of all this is we are under water restrictions as most of this water flooding runs out to sea.Regards SOGGY BIG BILKO
