brake controller access point

I have a 2006 Fleetwood Flair. I have ordered a tow dolly, and am attempting to hook up the brake controller. I have confirmed from Ford (Ford Chassis), that the chassis was prewired from the factory for electric brakes. Problem is, I cannot find the access point under the dash. Basically Ford says it is a Fleetwood problem, and Fleetwood says it is a Ford problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks for any info you may have.

Re: brake controller access point

You will need a pigtail for the Ford chassis. Then look around the left side of the steering column for the matching plug. It is there but sometimes is tucked in or taped to other wires. Once you have the pigtail you will know what you are looking for.
Good luck

It is that same way on my Ford. Mine was tied up into the wire harness about 6" up under the dash and folded back toware the steering column. It was fastened there with two wire ties.
