Build your own Voltmeter

I was wondering if anyone would share a easy (simple) to build voltmeter that would show battery condition? After having a few electrical problems, this is becoming a more important issue for me with my coach batteries. How do some of you handle your?

Dillard, if you are just wanting a volt meter I would think you could buy one from your lacal auto parts or Wal mart cheaper than you could build one.

I bought a very nice volt meter I put in my cig lighter outlet. I think it's a coleman. I have another one that works with my outside temp gauge. They both measure the same voltage. I say this to show at least the show the same voltage so they are either both right or both wrong. I got two of them, one for the camper and on in the truck. I think I paid 20 for both of them at a flea market.
