Buy local or national?

I live in Vancouver and travel for work. I was in Edmonton recently and the *same* trailers were $5-10K less. Now for that kind of money, a 11 hour drive is worth it. But what about after care service? Anyone have any real world examples of non selling dealers working on warranty stuff? Good/Bad?

Some experience but not much. Stop by and talk to the nearest dealer and ask him point blank if he would honor warranty work. Most name brand suppliers will honor warranty work but some take the attitude to work on it when they have time.

This may be a barginning tool to get your local dealer to come down on his price.
