Hi,
My friend James was diagnosed with cancer in Nov 2008. He weighed less that 100lbs (previously over 200lbs), was unable to walk or even lift his head off the pillow. He was given less that a 10% chance of survival. Miraculously after being in hospital for 9 months, going through chemotherapy and 9 operations he was given the all clear on July 23rd 2009.
On June 19th 2010 James is cycling 3,500 miles from LA to Miami, in 30 days to raise $150,000 for cancer charities.
To undertake this challenge we would like to use an RV/motor home as a support vehicle to provide food and accommodation. The event is self funded so all the money raised goes to the cancer charities. However as James has not been able to work for the last 2 years finances are very limited. It is for this reason I am asking if anyone could help us by providing an RV.
I understand this is a big ask and we would be extremely grateful for anything that can be done to support us. Even if you are unable to help, you may know someone else who can.
We aim to finish on 23rd July 2010, a year to the day that James was given the all clear.
We hope and pray that you are able to help and would like to thank you for taking the time to read this post. We look forward to hearing from you.
