Clothes Storage - HELP

We have just sold our home and are taking on the fulltiming lifestyle. We are in the process of moving things from house to coach. Everything was going fine UNTIL it came to clothes, shoes, etc. Any creative ideas on how to store these items? We believe we will still need some winter clothes, so where do you store jackets, boots, etc?

Well, it all depends on what you are moving in to. Size, etc. They make those plastic bags that you can suck the air out of with a vaccum cleaner that may help on volume. Use some common sense and don't be where it is too cold and you'll need boots/winter coats. Might consider storing in the trunk of your car (if your pulling one). Welcome to the forum

Also depends on whether or not you are going to stay in one place or keep moving. If you're going to be moving from place to place in a fairly short amount of time then you don't need a lot of cloths because no one will know when you wore an outfit last ;) that's the joy of traveling from town to town!

Hello and welcome to the forum. These folks were not full time, but customers of mine was gone for 3 months. They took 10 outfits each and washed once a week. Maybe that gives you some food for thought. Of course, you do have to consider the time of year and where you are going.

We solved our problems I have 5 sets of Shorts, 2 pants, Some T shirts, undies, 1 lite 1 heavy jacket, 2 pr shoes, socks, hankies & 2 belts. I use 2 drawers she has 9. Closet goes across the back of MH, Wife has all the rest. Been that way since early 70's and works for us, but may not for you. Doesn't make any difference if on the road or at home. Learned to live with what I have. Didn't say if MH, 5ver, or TT so can't advise except MH. If MH and a toad, Always extra storeage there. Good luck and happy motoring.

For shoes, my wife made custome shoe holders from naughyde that hang on the sides of the bed frame, below the mattress on each side. There are pouches for each shoe and we each keep our shoes on our side of the bed. It keeps them organized and handy, as well as out of our clothing storage. We don't carry any really heavy coats, just jackets and a thermal vest each as we try and avoid temperatures that go below freezing for any length of time. We do each have a Polar Guard vest and sweat shirts as well as medium jackets. For what cold we deal with we just add layers. Layers are actually warmer anyway.

A letter jacket is a jacket traditionally worn by high school and college students in the USA to represent school and team pride. It is usually made of wool and leather, with the wearer's name stitched on the breast, and the sports and/or activities in which the wearer participates stitched on one arm4653

welcome to the forum, we are not full timers yet ,quite a few more years to help uncle sam out you know, but when we travel we use the SPACE BAGS vaccumed out to save space ,you would be suprised how much it will shrink ,we pack them by seasons (all 4 ) , as we live in northern indiana it gets COLD and we generally go south . We store them in a couple of rubbermaid tote/ with lids, that fit in the basement storage of our 5er as we travel we always have seasonal clothes as the weather/temp changes hope this helps TEAM3360
