I'm thinking of dipping a toe into the world of rv'ing and liked the coachman 31IS. I was hoping that maybe somebody might be able to give me some unbiased opinions.
What flavor of Coachmen? I couldn't find the floor plan in the Freelander, Concord, Leprechaun, or Prism lines. I looked at Coachmen trailers before deciding to buy my Gulfstream.
I checked on out at http://www.coachmenrvsource.com/rvinventory_item.asp?id=505365 - not my style, but it is interesting non-the-less. It has a narrow bunk as opposed to the queen bunk in my class C. It looks like the appliances are on a slide. I haven't owned an RV with the appliances on a slide, but it seems to me that this would be asking for trouble over time. Speaking of slides - is the RV at all usable with both slides in? Imagine driving down the road and needing to get something out of the master bedroom - would you be able to without pulling one or both slides out? This is a consideration.
