Colorado Springs

My family and I are travelling to Colorado this summer. We have a 6 year old. Does anyone recommend a kid friendly site around the Colorado Springs area? Or, is there the site of all sites which we have to go to?

Thanks
George

With not a great deal to choose from in the Colorado Springs area, I would recommend Garden of the Gods RV Park. It is very kid and family friendly, the owner Chuck Murphy is a great guy and really works to make your stay enjoyable. There are just too many sites in a rather small area, creating alot of commotion and noise, especially in the evenings. Go to www.rvparkreviews.com to learn more about it, and to see what others have to say. Regardless, it is the best, close in, RV park that we have. RZ

We stayed at Garden of the Gods RV park, last year in May. Very friendly people there. Lots of RV's crammed in the park, but the site wasn't crowded at all. We had a little trouble finding a hole in the trees for our sat dish, but that was because we got a site that backed up to a spring. The road noise was loud during the "rush" hours, because the road went to Manitou Springs which also means that G.O.G.s RV was central to all of the tourist traps. We easily went to Pike's Peak, North Pole, GOG's (do not miss this place in the evening!), ice skating museum, Cripple Creek (train ride & casinos), and Seven Falls (climb the stairs!)
