cracked front panel

On the drivers side the panel right behind the drivers door that leads over the top of the cab to the other side and is the front of the living quarters has cracked on the drivers side. It is about half way up the panel about door handle high and runs left to right about 12 to 14 inches long. I don't know how it cracked as it looks like a clean crack. Is there a way to fix this and what could have caused it? Thanks, new to the forum

Welcome to the forum. I'm assuming you have a fiberglass unit. If so, is the crack all the way through or just what we call a spider web surface crack? Maybe a stress crack. If fiberglass any boat or auto place that specializes in fiberglass repair should be able to repair it. Need more info and let us know what you find out.

Yeah the crack is all the way through, its now 2 pieces.

As Mr.Nash stated, any fiberglass shop can fix it even if it is in 2 pieces.But make sure get a good repair shop or the quality want be there. We have a shop that specializes in Corvettes that ARE 100% fiberglass and his work is non detectable. So shop around and find one to do your.

Also beforw you go further stop drill the crack so it doesn't go further. Just drill a small hole at the end of the crack and it will stop a further crack as you get to repair.
