Decal removal

I would like to remove the name decals on my 2008 5th wheel. It was easy on the side facing the sun. does that mean that using a hair dryer might be easier to get the more stubborn ones off. It says SUMMIT on all four sides; like I want that.

Re: Decal removal

I have heard of using a hair dryer to remove decals and I know we used them to remove decals on cars.

Re: Decal removal

I used to use a hair dryer (commercial grade heat gun) to remove the varnish on my boats trim wood...Worked great....Just be careful you don't leave it one position or it will burn the fiberglass under the sticker.

If the hair dryer dont work go to your pharmacy and get some tea tree oil. That should take them off.

I ended up just scraping then off with a straight razor, washing the residue with paint thinner and scraping balance off with a straight razor. Then polishing it off to remove any remaining glue with WD-40 as per the dealer recommendation.
