Hi Fjfitz. I towed my 2002 Chevy Venture van from Florida to Alaska and back on a tow dolly and would never do it again except in case of emergency. It was a royal pain in the butt. You can't back up except for straight back for very short distances. The dolly dragged over every curb, bump in the road and most every gas station entrance. The straps holding the van on the dolly got dirty and muddy on the unpaved sections of the Alcan and were really difficult to get to release. In conclusion - it is doable but a real pain.
