DOMETIC FRIDGE

[TONY] I would like to know if it is better to have a 2 way or 3 way fridge. I would think the 3 way would be safer when driving on the road. I currently have a 2 way. Any opinions or advice? Please help as I will be buying a new fridge really soon, since my 2 way went bad.

DOMETIC FRIDGE

[tom] Tony, I &#039ve had both and the three way is the best way to go. However, you will need to run wiring (at least 10 gauge)for the 12 volt operation. Also remember that 12 volt is the least effective means of cooling the fridge. I usually cool down the fridge on AC before leaving home, then run on 12 volts on the road.

[Kirk] While three way probably have some advantages, they are becomming less common due to the cost and the fact that propane refridgerators and systems are designed to be operated while in motion. I think that you will find that converting is going to be expensive for the benefit, if it can even be done without replacing the refridgerator. The benefit for the cost is very doubtful!
