Durango 5.2L Gas - Good for towing?

I'm just in the process of figuring out what we'd like to do with RV'ing - other than escape. I have a 99 Dodge Durango with the 5.2L V8 and factory tow package. Question #1 - good tow vehilce for a ~28 foot trailer? #2 What modifications would you think about if #1 is a yes?

It all comes down to how much your trailer wieghs (28 feet seems long), and how much you can tow... One modification I did right away (Before we even had our trailer) was have a huge transmition cooler installed... The trans actally runs cooler while towing than it did before we installed it.
