electric hook ups

We recently purchased a travel trailer (Jayco 26L) and have noticed some sites have 50 amp hook ups and some have 30 amp. Our camper is a 30 amp, how do you deal with sites where there is only a 50 amp hook up?

Re: electric hook ups

I have an adapter that goes from 50 amp yo 30 amp. Have seen these at Wal Mart's in the camping section

I've never seen a site that only had a 50 amp. Campground owners would be nuts to limit a site to 50 only.

We sell the adapter also.

I have been to RV Parks that only have 50amp service. most are old converted Mobile Home Parks. Be careful with the 50 amp adapter. You could run too many appliances and draw more than 30 amps. This will cause your breakers to trip. :(

Isn't it the same possibility on a 30 Amp site? You always have to limit draw to 30 Amps with a 30 Amp rig -- either the pedestal breaker or the rig's breaker will trip ---
