Excess play in Toad steering

I will be towing a Plymouth voyager(FWD) on a tow dolly. I noticed there is excessive play in the steering when the transmission is in park, thus the van occasionally corners to tight and bumps the tow dollys wheel wells. Has anyone seen this before, or might this be a problem with this particular vehicles steering?

Dont Know if it will help, but try with trans in neutral and key in off not in lock position. most dolly ramps will turn with vehicle. could be lots of play there.
