Florida Dump Stations

After returning from Florida from a 2 week vacation. We had a small problem with Florida and dump stations. we sent a letter to the Gov. of Florida about this problem.
This was the reply.

Dear Mr. Pfister:

Governor Bush asked the Florida Department of Transportation, (FDOT) to respond to your recent e-mail concerning dump station for Recreational vehicles at the state rest areas.

There were a few Florida Rest Areas many years ago that had dump stations. They were slowly removed because of very high maintenance costs. We have learned that many states have experienced the same problems and are removing dump stations also. We are sorry if this has caused you a problem but FDOT has no plans to add dump stations to the state rest areas.

Thank you for taking the time to write Governor Bush about this issue.

My next question is do we continue to spend our money in Florida?

Florida Dump Stations

Evidently Florida's Mr. Bush doesn't realize that the state of Florida's Ecconomic's is based on tourist, RV'ers etc.

Florida Dump Stations

One reason is that you get people dumping illegal chemicals in the dump stations. One of the reasons most states have gotten rid of them. A few bad apples ruined it for the rest of us.
