Ford Dipstick: Obsolete!

I have a 1989 Intervec Falcon on an E-250 Econoline chassis, with a 5.8l (351 ci) and C6 transmission. My transmission dipstick broke recently and I lost the handle end. This part is unavailable! Out of production, and the local junkyards have crushed everything this old. In fact probably 99% of the Econolines of this vintage that are still running are Class B and C RVs. SO: can anyone here with a late '80s Ford chassis Class B or C with this drivetrain please tell me the length of your transmission dipstick from the cap to the tip, in other words, the part that's inside when the dipstick is pushed all the rest in? If I know the length, I can adapt a universal stick. Thanks!

I found a replacement in a junkyard. The E8UP-7AO20-BA dipstick is 51 inches from the cap to the tip and the Full line is 2.25 inches from the tip.20200730_160455_HDR_copy_1305x734.jpg20200730_160505_HDR_copy_1305x734.jpg

With all the Econoline-based RVs still on the road, I wouldn't be surprised if it comes up for others. I did find a substitute from Dorman for about $20. It's part #917-327 and it's meant for Dodges & Jeeps, but it's the right length. It has a steel bar at the end of a cable. The bar is marked every 5mm and the crosshatch of the Ford dipstick corresponds to the 45-58mm range, with 58 being full.
