fresh water tank loses its water

New to the site and new to RVing, I just bought an '99 Georgie Boy Landau. We've taken 4 trips so far and as I'm driving down the road any right hand turns result in water coming out of the overflow tube. By the time I reach my destination I've got about half the water I started with. Can anyone tell me;
- is this normal for this unit
- how do I solve this problem
We belong to dirt bike riding club that has no services so I need all the water I can hold.

I had the same problem with our HR and found that the overflow pipe must have been installed to far into the tank, I think, and wouls siphone the water back out. Took the easy way and just installed a shut off valve in the uverflow tube. it works just remember to open when filling.
