Generator Issue?

Hi all,
I'm brand new to RVing. Located in SoCal. I just bought a 1987 Champion La Salle 31 yesterday and already a problem.
When I go to start the forward AC, the generator dies. It worked fine yesterday at the sellers house. (figures,right?) Works fine on the rear AC. Genset is an Onan 7000W.

Might be a bad start capacitor in the AC. I think there are are two - one for the fan and one for the compressor.
