I have an Onan 4000 and when i take my finger off the start switch it dies, i have replaced the A1-control panel. I have two questions.
This is a spec-"H". Does it have a fuel shutdown solenoid? and if so, where?, also, how can you tell if the low oil pressure switch is bad unless you just replace it, any other ideas, the oil level is fine.

If an Onan is not generating power it will do as you describe. I am betting that you have some kind of generator problem.

Suggest you get your unit to an Cummings/Onan dealer for repairs. Dont take it to your local RV mech. Onan does a superior job at the most economical price. :blush:
