we just bought a 1976 wilderness 20ft trailer cant reed the label trying to find out how much it weighs empty

Well, you should have the title.
The outside label does NOT have the empty weight....you can find a label inside, if it is still there, in the kitchen cabinets. On that label there is a UVW..that is Unit Vehicle Weight. That is the empty weight.
