I went cannoeing out of Okatoma this summer. It is a very pretty location with tons of pines and all in all a nice back woods spot. Good shower facilities. Small store. Nice deep woods canoeing spot. Would go back.
The area around Hattisburg is very wooded and there are a number of nice camping spots.
We stayed at Tom Sawyer two years ago. The sites were level and we had water and electric for sure. Can't remember if we had sewer. We didn't use the showers so no idea if they were clean or not. Sites were plenty big enough for big rigs and slides. They were building a new area that looked cramped but it was all still under construction so maybe it was just a visual thing on the size. They are pet friendly with a nice big grassy field between the rigs and the river for the pups to run. We enjoyed watching all the boats as they passed by.
