Help PROPANE SYSTEM

[Bryan] I have a 1986 motorhome, i keep having problems with the propane
system. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. I play around with the handwheel and sometimes it works. Does anyone know where
I should take it, to have it replaced or repaired. How old can
the tank be, to be legal ? Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

[Gary B] Hi Bryan, you can take it to a LP service center that has a certifed tech, or a RV service center, it sounds to me like the lp regulator is bad, basically the valve is either on or off, but the regulator could be hanging up and when you turn the valve on or off it may work some. Another thing if you have an electric shut off valve it could be that it isn&#039t working. If it is a permantly installed tank it is good, there is no time limit as of this date. Hope this helps GB
