I need advice about white knuckle roads in Utah

My husband and I are planning a trip to see many national parks out west. We are new to rving except for a couple small trips near home last summer. We have a 31' Class C and are concerned about getting into some of the places on our route. We don't want to tow a car and also don't want to get onto any scary roads.
We are interested in talking with anyone who has taken a 31 footer into Zion and Bryce National parks. We are wondering if parking the rv at a campground and renting a car to get around is a better option.
We are also planning to go to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks as well as Yosemite. One campground offered to get a rental car and have it delivered to our site. Is this something that is standard?
Any advice on traveling the roads to these parks is greatly appreciated. We really want to look before we leap to see what we need to plan for. Thanks!

Barbz, You won't have any trouble getting into either Bryce or Zion Nat'l Parks with your RV. The only problem is traveling between the Parks. To enter Zions it is best to come in from I-15 in St George, Utah. To enter Bryce it is best to enter from Utah Highway 89. You can travel between the Parks on Highway 89 but the problem comes inside Zion Nat'L Park. The road that connects the main areas of Zion with the Highway 89 entrance goes through a tunnel constructed through the red rock in the early 1900's. It has a very low clearance (appox 12') and twists and turns. It requires a Park escort for vechicles over 30 feet in length. Your best bet is to consult a Utah map for the best routes beteen/around the parks. You should also consider visiting Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches Nat'l Parks while in the area (all in southern Utah). Combined, the Red Rock Nat'l Parks and all Utah State Parks in-between, outshine the Grand Canyon.

Barbz: You should have no problem with Sequoia National park. Roads are a little steep and winding but good roads. WELL worth the trip. Sequoia is very beautiful. Yosemite is a bit tight and the roads are narrow, but I have been in there with a 40' tour bus so you will be fine in your Class C. I would take the Hiway in to Sequoia from Visallia better road.
Good luck and enjoy your travels
Vicki and I live not to far from there is you need a place to stop, I have plenty of room for another RV in my Drive way. :)

Thanks for all your kind replys. We are so looking forward to our trip. There is so much to do since we will be hitting the road for 3 months and this is our first time out for this kind of time. :)
