We are Canadians purchasing an older motor home in Wash. state. It seems to be an oldy but goody Pace Arrow 28. Would sure like to get any info folks may have on what is required at both border offices and tips on making it simple.

THE PEOPLE YOU ARE PURCHASING IT FROM HAVE TO SEND ALL DOCUMENTATION (ORGINALS WITH YOUR SIGNATURE) TO U.S. CUSTOMS 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF YOU ARRIVING AT U.S CUSTOMS---WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT U.S CUSTOMS THEY WILL RETREIVE YOUR COPIES FROM FILE& STAMP YOUR COPIES, IF ALL IS O.K....ON THE COPIES MAKE SURE THEY HAVE LISTED THE PLATE #.... THEN YOU ENTER CANADA WHERE THEY WILL REGISTER YOUR VECHICLE & YOU PAY THE GST....& SOME SORT OF CUSTOM FEE APPROX $250...WHEN YOU GO TO GET YOUR CANADIAN PLATES YOU WILL PAY THE PST.----IMPORTANT THE CUSTOMS ONLY DO THIS MONDAY TO FRIDAY 8AM TO 4 PM-----HOPE THIS HELPS YOU----PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE BY CREDIT CARD
