Re: In the desert sw
Salton sea is next to the "SLAB", lots of motor home and RV's there. Just about like Quartzsite for looks but with a sea/lake that is 245' below sealevel. We passed by and stopped at Borrego Springs and are boon docking about 3 miles out to the NE at the Clark dry lake area(open desert like Quartzsite only with mountains fairly close by. Seems like good hoopups on the Salton with several parks that read good. At Borrego Springs the state park has sites big enough for big rigs and is senic $30 a night and discount for seniors. This Borrego park seems to have a lot of desert viewing, bad lands, mountains and some desert wild life. And Avery of Avery lables has quite a holding here and has a Mexican artist doing sculptures in the desert of Vertebrates of the past Sabretooth Tigers, mamoths zebra and on.
