Well, while traveling back from Canada we decided to go through Iowa this time so we could get a top for the bed of our truck. The particular one we wanted is found in Britt, Iowa. See this http://unicovercaps.com/fiberglass-truck-caps/walkindoor/index.html
So we're staying a few miles away in Clear Lake, Iowa. This is a great little town. The town is pretty much built all around the lake. It also so happens that it was the last place that Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and the Big Bopper played before they died. They left from the Mason City Airport which is the next town over and crashed in a corn field just north of Clear Lake. Yesterday my husband and I went to the crash site where there is a small memorial set-up there. I took some pics and would like to share.
