Jacknife Sofa Support Leg

I just bought a 2000 Mallard 24j. The jacknife sofa is not very stable when folded into the bed and I shift around. The outside slopes a little and almost makes you feel like you might roll of. I hace searched several RV parts sites, but can't seem to find a support leg. I would like to have one I can fold down from the middle sofa support, but I guess a piece of wood is the easiest and cheapest. Any advice or ideas? Thanks.

Your own ideas are going to be better than adapting something, however, that doesn't mean you don't have to be ingenious about the fix.

On something like this, I'll walk the isles of Lowes or Home Depot just looking at "things" until some adaptable piece of something brings a "V8 Moment" to me.

Camping World has a stabilizer for steps which might work.

If you do use wood, make sure it is an inverted 'T', not just a piece of wood. I used a piece of wood and kept knocking it out. The inverted 'T' is much more stable.
