Hello, new to the site , and need help with learning about my Allison MT42 6 speed. Frist of all i just bought it. Paied $250.00 for it complete. I know it is not elec shift. This one was behind a v6 Chev bus . It is a tranny from the 70`s i think.
It will be installed in my 1948 Chev COE 1 ton dually truck, behind a 383 stroker motor. I want to use it for towing. Most of all i need a site to learn about the tranny and a good place to buy parts for it. Filters, gaskets, etc. I am very mech inclinded and do my own work.Any help would truley be appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
