Low mileage Diesel

Found a 02/03 Dutch Star with under 3K miles. Your forum members all agree that diesels do not like to stand. What should I look for as possible mechanical problems in a RV like this.

I would call Cumins or Cat and ask them with the motor # in hand. Also would call Allison and see what they have to say. At least it would call for total fluid change in motor trans and differential. A good check on the air system and check on leveler system. Plus a repack and check on front bearings and bearings on the rear with this low of miles could mean bearing replacement because of rust pitting. Also check the exhaust system.

And by ALL MEANS ck for water damage ,, u never know if it had a leak or not ,, but look in all the closets and under the drawers and also look around windows and skylights ,,, this maybe a buyer beware situation ,, IMO
