mid west travel

We are going to travel from California to the Balloon Festival in NM and on to South Dakota in October/November. Does anyone know what weather and road conditions we might encounter in SD and Nebraska? How about possible RV parks in and around Gettysburg SD? We have a 40' diesel pusher with a tow vehicle.

It will probably be good but you could have snow at that time of year. The area usually gets some snow in October and by November it could snow most any time. It probably will not last long. I used to travel that area for work for 18 years.
