[Micahel Katz] Winnebago 30 AMP service may not be adequate if you have a heat pump.

If you own a Winnebago product with the 30 AMP service and electronic controls and a heat pump check your manuals. The air conditioner may not work properly in hot weather. The electronic controls reduce the amperage from 30 amps to 24 amps ( a 20% drop) after three hours of use and the heat pump requires 27.5 amps to work both states 1 and 2. This information is in your manuals as well as on the websites of the manufacture of the electronic controls and the air conditioner units. Winnebago is aware that you need a 50AMP service in hot weather but does not acknowledge this. The manufactures have also told me they informed Winnebago of this problem.
