more 12 volt question

In my last post about a 12 volt problem,I may have left out one key issue. The 8 track radio from the dash has be removed and their are now free wires under dash. (One red with a live current and two black which I think are grounds). Could the loose wires be the cause of my problems, if so what should I do with them. thanks

Um, yes, a bare wire swinging around under the dash can cause interesting problems. Insulate the bare ends (wire nut, crimp on or tape) and then fasten the wires to something (preferably not metal) under the dash so they can't swing around.
