Re: National RV Islander Diesel Motorhome
National RV was an excellent company until they had a major warranty issue with sidewall materials that were prone to de-laminate and the company that sold them the materials went out of business, leaving National stuck with a great expense of warranty work which in time caused the company to fail and go out of business, via a bankruptcy sale.
We know some folks who have an Islander from about 2001 and have owned it since it was a year old and still own it. Rather than replace it they spent money to remodel and are still traveling with it. For a good run down of RVs and quality/safety ratings, check out the RV Consumer Group.
