Hello I have a 1997 Dodge Roadtrek 190 popular. I want to set up a basic solar system and all I want it to do is charge the battery. Currently my battery can be charged by Shore power or while driving down the road through the alternator.
My question is can I set up a portable solar panel connected to a simple pvm or mppt solar charger controller? Will doing this interfere with the charging from the shore power or alternator? Do I need to have a cut off switch hooked to the solar panel?
