Need help with Onan Genset

Hi All,

New to the forum, new to RVing, old hat at fixing/rebuilding things.

Plan to post our starting off story soon. (1989 32' Georgie Boy Custum Cruiser)

I have a 1989 Onan model 6.5NHEFA26100E genset.

It was burning a bit of oil so I tore it down, honed the glaze off the cylinders and replaced the rings.

Now I need torque specs for the piston rods and the heads. As usual it is after 5:00 and no one is open to call (and tomorrow is Sunday).

Got my answers by searching several different forums.
Not sure which one I found it on, but here is what I got.

Connecting Rod 12-14 ft lbs
Head Bolts 16-18 ft lbs
Oil Base 18-23
Rear Bearing 15-27 ft lbs
Gear Cover 8-10 ft lbs
Starter 19-21 ft lbs

Hope these will help others, too.

Engine/generator is back together. Fired right up and purrs like a kitten.
Now all I need to do is get the mixture set correctly.
