New, need help

Looking at purchasing a 29' 1989 Terry Resort Series travel trailer. Owned by friend who pulled it 16 times (each summer) to Myrtle Beach (about 500 miles round trip). Asking price $2500.00 which includes mirrors, stabilizer, etc. Price ok, what to look for, etc? Any helpful hints/info would be appreciated.

Soft spots for starters. Knock on all the walls and inside cabinets. If it's soft, it'll need work.

Dry rot. Check the roof out. The rubber roof (if it has one) may be getting old, however, for $2500 it should give you a couple more years use.

Make sure you replace the tires if they are original equipment or over 6 years old. They may look good, but the rubber will be rotted from the sun and acidic atmosphere. BLOWOUTSVILLE :dead:
