New Travel Trailer

Hello we just bought a new 27 foot travel trailer weighing in at 5006 pounds. We currently have a F150 6 cylinder pickup which my husband is trading in for either a Tahoe or Suburban with the V8 5300 engine. Will this be sufficient? All the dealers and the tow place said yes. Anyone have experience in pulling a 27 foot travel trailer and, if so, could you give us some towing advice as well as your thoughts on pulling a 27 foot trailer. :) Thanks.

New Travel Trailer

I have no problem using my 2002 Yukon with a 5300 V8 to pull a 24ft trailer that weighs 4400 lbs (I sometimes forget the trailer is there). I would think you would be ok pulling the 5000 lbs.

One option on my truck that I would recommend is autoride. When the trailer is hooked up, an air compressor in the truck automatically adjusts the rear shocks.
