No power from generator

I saw a similar thread. Plugged in shore line all is fine. Unplug and use generator we are not getting any power inside. 1996 pace arrow. We used to have a 74 travco that when you weren’t plugged into shore line you plugged in inside the storage box. This model has no plug in there

I don't have an answer but it sure seems weird that there is no place to plug in the cable inside the storage box. Is there a breaker that might be off or failed? What about an inline fuse near the generator?
