North Carolina coast
The National Parks are all located on the ocean side and are very nice. Because of the dunes, you can't see the ocean at most places (close) but the campground near Hatteras Lighthouse has most sites at elevations where you have fantastic views.
The campground nearest the ferry to Ocrakoke Is. (very south end of the Outer Banks, is very nice with exceptionally kind and friendly Park Host.
KOA is mid-line (Rodanthe?)on the stretch of Outer Banks and has friendly folks running it, nice store/gift shop with computer hookup. Kept very clean and THIS ONE IS CLOSEST TO OCEAN. There are sites at edge of dunes which allow you to just walk over to ocean....most others have longer access walks. Definately pricier.
THIS AREA IS WORTH EXPLORING...ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES...HAVE BEEN VISITING OFF/ON FOR 30 YEARS! HAPPY RVing!
