Ocean front camping--East Coast

I am looking for Ocean front campgrounds, public or private that are situated directly adjacent to the ocean--either right on the beach or within a few minutes walk.

I'm tired of searching the web, and looking at brochures that SAY they are at the beach, but when you get there, you find they are 10 miles from the beach!

I'm specifically looking from North Carolina to Maine

Ocean front camping--East Coast

Last year we camped at Pirateland in Myrtle beach, SC. We were ocean front and walked from the camper to the beach within 60'. We have also stayed at the Outer Banks, NC and had to drive to get to the beach, but I think there are some campsites farther south around Hatteras which are close to the beach. If you want to venture as far south as Myrtle Beach, besides Pirateland, there are 2 other campsites beside it on the beach. They are Lakewood Camping resort and Ocean Lakes. www.Pirateland.com www.oceanlakes.com These are from the Trailer Life Directory All 3 of these places are nice and on the beach.
