Onan generator wont start

I have a Onan marquis 7000 that wont start. The RV fuel tank is full so I disconnected the fuel line at the carburetor, hit the start switch and no fuel comes out. Does this mean the fuel pump is bad?

Hey frankv59, welcome to the forum. When was the last time you used the generator? Do you exercise it (run it) every month for 2 hrs under load? :question:

When u crank the genset do u hear a ticking or a rattle???
If not then the fuel pump is bad ,, but i would not rule out the pickup hose ,, i have seen units that suck air when the genset pump is trying to fuel the set ,, ck the lines going from the pump to the genset ,, and also the lines from the main fuel tank to the genset pump... post us back

Look for an inline fuel filter and see if it might be pluged. Could be that simple. Good Luck
