It's time for new tires on my camper (21' 4500lb dry wieght). Why is it that when I look up p205/75 r 14 (the tires on the camper now) it comes up as car tires and not camper tires ?Did the last owners put the wrong tires on there? Thanks
I would suggest that you get the proper tire for your camper. they could very well be everyday tire that the other owner put on. I would make sure thatthe new tires are made and built for your camper. good luck
well Nash and Hollis are both right ,, but one more thing ,, the P at the beginning means that they are pmetric tires ,, and not any good for trailer use ,, what u need to do is as others have posted ,, and get a good 8 or 10 ply tire for the tt ,, and they will say right on them ,, for trailer use only ,, it is only the safe way IMO to look at it :approve: :approve:
I was at the tire place today and the guy at the counter told me to look at the sticker on the camper and it does say p205 75 r14 not st205 75r 14 is it possible that the camper is light and all it needs is passenger tires? THANKS
I guess that is your call, but I would put the ST 205-75-R14 on it if it was mine. But that just me being over cautious . I would guess it would depend on how far you would be pulling it also. :approve:
Hey lasoyatang, I am not trying to persuade you into buying the S T tires, that just my opinion. Like I said , if you are comfortable with what you have, then that is great. I just suggested I would buy the ST. But there again how far will you be pulling the TT? Also please call me Hollis, H2HI is my sign in ID.
i am not so sure about the p tire thingy ,, i would really think a tt would be required to have trailer only type of tires ,, i may be wrong ,, but i think GTS could clear this up ,, btw ,, what weight is the trailer ??? gross that is .
