My WFCO model 8855 converter runs all the time (I think its only the fan) Even if not hooked to 110. It seems to work ok. What will happen if I don't fix it or get a new one :question:

Hi Bob, it shouldn't run when not connected to shore power, the thermo switch for the fan may have stuck in the on position. I don't think anything much will happen execpt to run the battery/ies down. If you don't want to spend the money for a new one, you could see about replacing the defective part or maybe just disconnect the batts when not using the rig. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks Gary for the info. Will wait untill I have something else I can't fix before takeing it in to the shop. Weird thing is it does run when not hooked to shore power. Guess something is letting it feed back from the battery. Thanks again. Bob E Chevy 2500 Duramax 30' Carraige Camo LX
