[Steve Enderlin] My future wife and I are considering going from a 30&#039 Class A MH to a fifth wheel. We will be pulling it with a 2001 Chevrolet 2500HD 4x4 Crew Cab with a short bed (8.1 liter Vortec engine w/ 340hp & 455 ft/lbs of torque with the new Allison 5spd. automatic trans.)A question to you experienced 5er&#039s - what size fifth wheel should we try to stay around? We are wanting to have at least 2 slides. I would any info we can get. Thanks!!!!

[Rod Wise] All depends on your new trucks GVWR, GCVWR, and of course your wallet. Our new fiver is 28ft with double slides; previous was 37ft with large single slide and rear "garage" for our cycle. The new one is alot more "Homey", and comfortable. Good Luck.
