Rentals - Vermont to Nova Scotia

Hello,

My wife and I want to surprise the kids with a week-long RV trip to Nova Scotia and looking for advice on renting an RV. I fully understand why dealerships charge so much but assume there must be alternatives. Do private owners rent and are there internet forums for such a thing?

Paying a fair price and offering full financial security are not an issue. I would just rather put the money in an RV'ers hands and save a bit for college tuition which starts in only 6 short years.

Or, any suggestions on renting from dealers or who in Vermont/Albany, NY is recommended?

Also, any suggestions on visiting the Gaspe would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jeff and welcome to the RVUSA Forum. You would be hard pressed to find a private RV owner willing to rent you his rig. RV's are very personal items, kinda like our homes on wheels, and we are very possessive of them.

If you check around on line you will find several RV rental companies. Sorry I couldn't be more positive, but good luck with your vacation and let us know how you do.
