River Forest 5th Wheel

We have a 2006 River Forest Cedar Creek Silver Back 29' fifth wheel and cannot find the unloaded weight of the unloaded trailer.
None of our paperwork has this information.
We pull it with a 2500 diesel chevy and have pulled it for 6 years (but never on long pulls - 4 hours max)
Within the last 2 to 3 years the transmission seams to have a hard time adjusting. The allision transmission keeps trying to calibrate.
Just wondering if we are to heavy.

A 29' Fifth Wheel is certainly not too heavy for your truck, but to answer your question...you should have a label in a kitchen cabinet that gives you weights. You are looking for UVW....that means Unit Vehicle Weight.

A few years ago RVIA, in their infinite wisdom, allowed manufactures to drop that label, but I think in 2006 it will be there.

If you see a state truck scale along the highway pull in and check your weight. Even if they are closed the scales are still turn-on and working. I know the one that I use I can see the weight read-out in the window.
