My wife has been offered a job with a RV resort which is just about to open which is owned by the same people that own the present park we are in. Since the owner are new to the game, has we are. My wife just retired and we plan on being full timers at this park. My question is , what should she expect has far has compensation. Her job duties would be to, take reservations, take care of the rec hall, clean the pool(just make sure the chemicals are ok) handle the customers concerns, taking care of the books, pay the bills,(be the accountant) pretty much everything except electrical & plumbing problems and lawn maintenance . This is a 71 site park with possible expansion. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Sounds like a full time job to me. Are they just offering free CS or pay and free site?

Sounds about right to me when you figure in around 400 plus or so for the site. What will be your duties? Are you retired and will your wife have to sign a contract? Not my idea for fulltiming but its something only you and wife can decide if the price is right.

Re: RV Rsort manager job

Well actually i have just recently opened a bar and my wife put in for retirement to move down here, and was just going to do part time work, we still have our house in san antonio(it's paid for , along with everything we own) her duties would be to take reservations, keep up the rec room, maintain chemical balance in the pool, take care of all problems concerning the guest, and do all the books ie: receive guest money make deposits payables and receivables. ( be the accountant, that's her background ). Oh she is too young to actually call it retirement....she's 43 and I'm 47... we are just in a financial position to do this ....she just wants to stay a little busy and dosnt want to come to our bar everyday and work there....She says i'm a mean boss....lol
