Re: Satellite system

There are VoIP services that work with satellite internet, but I wouldn't recommend Vonage. They are bandwidth intensive and on the typical HughesNet service plan will use up a considerable amount of your upload bandwidth. Check around. There are some that only use between 7 and 14 kbps in up/down bandwidth. These would work fine. Also, keep in mind the delay. On a typical HughesNet service, you can expect around a 1 second delay due to the satellite latency. Clarity can/will be good, but a delay that you must get used to.
If you did go with a MotoSAT dish, you could get internet, phone (VoIP) and television (Bird on a Wire) with the same dish.
